Monkey Rehabilitation Release – We will not stop until the last ex dancing monkey is freed! 🐒
In this video we give an insight why we remain committed to speak up for animals, like the long-tailed macaques in Indonesia. This species of primates is abused for the cruel dancing monkeys’ street entertainment (topeng monyet); a practice which the Indonesian government banned since 2019 and we campaigned against since 2009! We are committed to continue until we manage to rescue the last monkey off the streets and this cruel practice will be history. Dancing Monkeys suffer in the hands of their handlers with the sole purpose of keeping the public entertained during the circus style street performances.
We run a special topeng monyet rehabilitation program, where our experienced team remains dedicated to rehabilitate these long-suffering primates, and prepare them for their new life back in the wilderness.
We remain fully committed to rescue, rehabilitate and release wildlife in our care.
